So I don't know how well this would work where I am in the Pacific Northwest, but I was thinking it would be cool to try and get a group together geocaching the figs that are in parks, empty lots, or maybe even your yard depending on how friendly you are lol. With multiple people we could collect information about the tree in the notes and keep an eye on these old trees. What do you guys think? Just to clarify we don't have to be all in the same area though it would of course probably be more fun for people with several local fig nuts and warm weather.

Not sure how much I would appreciate people I did not know showing up and eating my figs when I am not home.... Would not want to put my locale out there for public use. No problem with the park idea though, I did geocaching with my kids when they were young.

Did you end up doing this geocaching project? How did it turn out?

A couple years ago someone proposed to do something similar on this forum. I'm not sure if it went anywhere but you should see if you can find the thread as the responses there could be useful if you decide to go forward.
