My saddened tree in Paris sprouted some suckers, and thinking they were draining it of its energy I dug them out. And stuck them in some soil, and they're starting to take off. So cute.
Some compost and fertilizer later, mom is also doing well and had a small breba offering. Here're the first ones. Thanks much for the great advice! And there are quite a few small figs on the way for fall. Can't wait.
Any guesses as to variety - maybe a Violette de bordeaux?

Fortunately we were away for the long weekend, if not, I would have picked them too soon. ;-)

Good thing you asked before I ate the second one with breakfast: 30 grams and about 6,5 cm long. Rather tough skin, not super sweet, more melon than berry, rather mellow and yummy. Largish seeds and inside flesh is light, ringed with purple...and that's all I can tell you until the next ones ripen.

After a bit more looking, the leaves aren't right for a Violette de Bx. While not always consistent, there are only three sections.

If those are mature leaves, they are not typical for VdB
