This was the only breba that ripened this year. There were more brebas on another branch that I air layered but the figs fell off. One of the best tasting dark figs!

Like "JH" after Adriatic, "AF" stands for the source of my GN.

Francisco, you described this very well. The taste of the breba is the same as the main crop figs only the breba is larger and elongated. This was my only breba this season. They are usually larger in size.

Wow. Why do you think only one breba this year? Was it the weather? Or are breba just unpredictable?

Strange I have no brebas too despite the great summer weather. Lots of main crop on my tree.

Paul, this was a strange season for figs in Albuquerque. Hardly any brebas, even on my Aldo's which usually produces a lot of them.

Sometimes it's the fall and winter weather that affects brebas more than the spring or summer.

Hi Leon, thanks for sharing.  My young tree grew vigorously since last October.  No breba but I did have an excellent main crop the other day that was excellent!  I don't know if this fruit was caprified or not.  I am still hoping to have others mature over the next couple of months. I was very impressed by the great flavor of this fig!
