Well thanks matty ( Brooklynmatty) we are on our way on saving this tree. This is only one of the cuttings and is in a cup of coir on a heat mat. This tree is going to be added to my fig field this spring. As you can see nice big cutting. Here is a few pics. South louisiana

Unknown Sheepshead is looking great Richie! Glad you got it going quickly :)

Those look fantastic! Roots everywhere! Congratulations on those beauties. This really is a vigorous variety. Love seeing all this progress from everyone.

Already budding out...lets hope the roots grow soon :)

FYI those who felt it was too similar to hardy chicago...I am guessing it will not be so close to HC -Tacoma violet-sals...

Why? Because the nodes-buds on 2 different sources HC were large and visable. On the Sheepshead the nodes were very very small.

West Florida (West of the Apalachiola River as defined by the proclamation of 1763). zone 8a winters can get cold for figs...down to 12 F twice in last four years.
