This is Byadi I got from sammi kassoum one of group member. He told me this variety is common fig. I got 3 tree that bear fruit but all of them turn out like this. It will slowly turn to yellow and darker.

As the fruit ripens, it will change color and start to hang down.  It will fully hanging down with a slight wrinkle when it's ready.

Thanks mate. The problem is, it is not ripening. This variety when ripen, its colour become green to yellowish. While on this case it will shrink and start to turn pale yellow before become darker and lastly drop, prematurely.

It could be from young age, being rootbound, soil too wet or too dry, too much fertilizer, or not enough, the tree might not be common and on and on.  Do any experienced growers live near you?

Thanks mate. We in here are all new to fig. The much experienced maybe have growing fig for maybe 2-3 or 4 years. I have ask the question within our local group but none of them seem to know. Does fig that need pollination will turn out like this if not being pollinated? We don't have any fig wasp here

If the above is true,you have a fig seedling,it could be a male caprifig,or a female cauducous,that needs polination by the fig wasp.!
Your Byadi might have been grown from a seed!?

Thanks all.
Herman, I grown it from cutting I got from kassoum. He say it have no problem with other buyer from my area. If its true it needs to pollinate, do you think I got San Pedro type since there's no wasp in my place.

And Sas, no, we don't have fig wasp here

I have a different rare variety displaying exactly the same symptoms. It sits among other varieties that don't have any problems ripening their figs.
Most likely it's a pollination issue(we do not have the wasp over here). Or perhaps still too young.
I'm keeping mine for study purposes, but after seeing the same thing happen for two years in a row, I won't hold my breath on my variety. I might eventually graft mine.
We'll see...

Great idea. I will wait for a few month and see the progress. If it is San Pedro type, I will consider either to keep it or cut it down. If smyrna , am surely will throw it away. Thanks for the help
