I have had another post like this but no one answered it. Is the fig Bardacik self pollinating? I got these fig seeds years ago and it came with the gift of these seeds. The only problem is I couldn't germinate them in a wet paper towel

Apparently it needs caprification to ripen, but all figs need a male pollinator to produce a viable seed. (As far as I understand the process). So even though common figs (Bardacik is not) ripen without a male fig, the seeds are not viable. Your seeds may not have been caprified, or they just went bad somehow, or they were fake, or ...

Bardacik is a symnra type of fig in Turkey and need necessarily polination to ripe fruits with wasps. Bardacık-İncir.jpg
