Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I have a 2.5 yo Battaglia Green tree currently in the ground that I am going to be pulling out. I'm just trying to see if there is any interest out there for such as tree. It is around 4-5 ft. tall. I live 30 min. north of Tampa. I could also ship if you want to pay for shipping. To save on shipping, we could even prune it to get it to fit in a smaller-sized box. Thank you for your time.

I'm going to pull it out of the ground, hopefully, by Saturday at the latest. I'll weigh it and should know how much shipping would be. First come, first served. jaylyne is first, then Mai, then Smyfigs. Please give me a couple of days to figure out the whole shipping process. Thank you for the quick responses!

Yeah it is a hardy variety that would probably do better here in MI. I just rooted a couple myself.

If you have to prune it to fit in a shipping container, could I get a few of the cuttings? I'll pat for the shipping.

I'm happy to do this. It is a great variety but Florida is not for her.
I'll be pulling it out of the ground today and will know better about cuttings.
Thank you for the interest!

Okay. If it's not for Florida, perhaps some of the northern members would want them.

Please check for root knot nematodes. I'd be really concerned about that on any fig from FL. I got an infested plant from a well known nursery once. I may still have them despite lots of bleach and other treatments. From anywhere in the SE I'd rather have cuttings than a plant, esp an in ground plant. But RKN does well in pots also. Not good for fig plants.

Hello and I apologize for the delay. As it turns out, a few of the roots have root knot nematodes. It isn't much but I am not comfortable sending this to anyone. When I first planted this, I was not aware of nematodes and did not prepare the soil properly; I was a newbie :0 The cuttings are still up for grabs. I will send Flat rate Priority mail. I'm only asking for shipping and 2 bucks to cover supplies, gas, etc. Please PM me. I may only have enough for 5-7 people at 2 cuttings each. My paypal address is classicalah@gmail.com Please send payment as FRIENDS/FAMILY - $7

Got it, Smyfigs! All cuttings spoken for. Thank you everyone and I hope you much success rooting these cuttings and enjoying the fruits! Maybe one day I'll come visit one of you lucky recipients to experience the goodness that Battaglia has to offer when grown in the right climate. Please let me know when you receive them. Cuttings will go out tomorrow because of the holiday.
