I have a white Genoa fig tree that some of the leaves are slightly closing in, curled, as if it needs water but I don't think it needs water. It is only two years old. Is this natural. It doesn't seem to grow very fast?

Thank you, I was wondering about shade. We've shade several other juvenile plants this year and saw a good improvement. I test the soil regularly and it is damp enough.
