I see a lot of “beware of scammers” posts on this forum.
It was a lot of accusations, but no evidence only blah..blah..blah…
I am making the same list about peoples who import fig plants and cuttings illegally. And I will present evidence and proof of purchase. Which as I stated before really easy to obtain on eBay by checking known sellers feedback. Why sellers? Because they are buying too.
Depending on the country of origin, some fruits, vegetables, and plants may be brought into the United States without advance permission, provided they are declared, inspected, and found free of pests. However, certain plants and ANY plant parts intended for growing (propagative) require a foreign phytosanitary certificate in advance."
And I will be preoccupied with my research and dealing with USDA.

Pofigist, I just got here but you already rub me the wrong way with your accusations and spam posts. I just bought off eBay, put my name on that list. BRING IT or are you just jellous of others success'? You are NOT a defending the honest American grower but instead seem to have some chips in the game and want to shut others down...

Figs are not indigenous to the USA and the early settlers did not have to have papers to bring them over.The fig beetle is already here and I'm smart enough to monitor my own fig trees for insects.

LOL... Nothing really to add. You have all, I think hit it on the head. Definitely entertaining, but adds absolutely nothing of value to this forum. False accusations and negativity, NOT OK. This is a great place to learn about figs from a wonderful group of people who are also Very generous and knowledgeable . What happens when you get one of these certificates?
Natalina BI, U. Italian Yellow BI , U. Yellow Greek AD, U. South Plainfield, U. Orangeburg Prosciutto, Naples Dark , Azores Dark, Columbaro Nero, De La Tira, I376, Des Roig Manyo , Greek Church U. Smith , any in ground figs for zone 6.
