Ok, updated a little bit in time for winter madness and cuttings acquisitions. Mostly the sheet "Recommended Varieties and Lists", some good info there for cold climate growers.

As always please send me suggestions, missing info, and omissions.

Remember, brebas aren't too far away!

Kelby, this is a great source of information.  However, in some parts of the document Takoma Violet is misspelled as "Tacoma Violet".  Since it was found growing in Takoma Park, MD (not Tacoma, WA) it should be corrected so that growers do not mistakenly think it is adapted to the climate in the Pacific northwest.  Thanks!

Thanks, Steve! Corrections made, my brain gets that one mixed up sometimes. Added that it was found by Gene Hosey in MD, too.

I reviewed your list again, Kelby.  Great work.  Wish those with experience could help fill in the blanks for some varieties.
Your list lacks a 'key' for the ripening order - I understand what you mean, but maybe others won't understand the A,B,C.

This is an incredible list that I have read multiple times. I am hoping Jon makes some of the varieties on the beginner's list available in the next few weeks. Thanks to all (kelby, robert, etc) for putting this information together. It's been helpful in deciding what my next figs should be.

I agree.  This list has been immensely useful.  I used it pretty extensively to plan which varieties I wanted to try growing.  In fact, you might say the list has been too useful, because it made it so easy to see all the potential varieties.  I ended up with a lot more cutting varieties than I had originally planned.

Good catch, Ed, I added a small key for that.

Glad you guys can use it, Kevin and Johnny! And to think I originally assembled this to try and make choosing varieties easier!

Some more updates for you folks...adding info on the Breba cropping as applicable and I added a new sheet of info I've gathered on hardier selections of persimmons, another area of interest that I'm just getting into.

Thank you Kelby.  Pulling all this information into one place is a great help to the large group of us in the northern range.  Effort much appreciated!
