Here's one of the most attractive fig trees at uc davis. It's a F. Palmatum x F. carica hybrid. DFIC0023 It tastes very good.

I would love to have one of those just for its beauty, Ive seen allot of figs with a drop of honey at the eye but never a red drop that alone is enough for me to want one. Now the next question is how difficult will it be to obtain one of these beauties??? |

I will ask Malli to put a netting around the figlets next year to find out for sure if it needs the wasp. I think I might have eaten a few wasp while I was there.

Yes they need a wasp,take it from me,I discarded the 2 plant I had, for this reason,in 2006!. |
