Hi Mario,
Your leaf and fig resemble my Conadria that came from paradise nursery.

Compare it to Atreano, and make an opinion for yourself.
It is bigger than Conadria.

I know foliage can be quite variable and may change with the maturity of the tree, but the leaf doesn't look much like the ones on my year-old Conadria.

Gonna keep you busy here Mario :) . I'm glad to find the pics of this one since I din't get to see it ripe back in the summer.

So we're pretty sure it's Atreano? You think "Triano Calabrese" is a Molise dialect reference to Atreano?

Just trying to learn some more about these nice figs you have growing over there in your neck of the woods.

Mario, those figs a whole lot like my 2 trees....Atreano and Golden Atreano. Both of my trees came from the person.

Triano Calabrese means it comes from the Calabria region which borders Molise . So it may not be native to Molise region but it is close by. All i know is, it looks like it ,and it tastes real good. I would like to give it the Italian name it deserves not Mario this and Mario that. It comes from Italy, and it deserves an italian name. This year i picked about 400 figs of this 3 yr old plant.

Thank you for the additional info Mario. I'm with you, I would prefer to see the most original name possible of the variety stay intact.

So, are we going with Triano Calabrese then instead of Atreano? This might be best since it may not be identical to Atreano. This is really your call Mario since you know just what region it originates from.
