Good day, This year at UC Davis, my goal was to touch and taste all of the hybrids and UCRs. I accomplished that on this trip. This is the first picture of my very first fig of the day at UC Davis. It's UCR 143-28. This fig was very sweet tasting. It had a berry flavor to it and has an oblong shape. Enjoy! |

Dennis Looking all this figs with "number" name you just change my mind about them. Numbers have never been appealing to me as fig name, but that's changed now. Thanks Dennis |

Eden, per a previous discussion, that is why I have thought about new names, such as Emerald Strawberry, because 143-5, etc just aren't sexy names - they're not even names. |

Man, are you deliberately trying to piss off Martin? Not a single dark fig... |

Pure and simple, they need to have some kind of trademarked name, and this website probably should use its social capital to foist names that are searchable and don't deliver scientific tables and figures. |

perhaps they should have numbers like 36-26-36. some might consider those to be sexy numbers. |
