Everyone is going to say to get rid of it but I would keep it as long as you have a backup cutting if it has good roots leave it if it has no roots pull it off.

Cut it off, but make sure not to damage the shoot bud.

off with that fig. it will drain energy that will be used for roots and top growth.

You run the risk of the plant putting all its energy into the cutting and not having enough left to survive if you leave it.

Mario, Do you got more of the same variety? If so, sometimes ya got to be a rebel and not go with the crowd. Get wild and crazy and let the little bugger grow. It never hurt nobody, why chop off his head?
