Yes cfl's will do very well. If you have room in the window keep them there too and just add the cfl's so you get 16 hrs a day of light on them and they will do fine. |

Thanks Jeff! A bulb burnt out in the kitchen so I thought I would be a good husband and replace them all. Hehe |

I had a cfl in my kitchen once too. I never turned it off and it lasted 2 years. My understanding is they last longer leaving them on than if you turn them off and on. To dispose of them you can just take them to lowes or home depot and they usually have a bin as soon as you walk in the door. |

Only 13w (60 watt comparison) but it's a 5 light fixture. The house is glowing when they are on! Wife asked if she needed sunscreen cus it was like walking into a tanning bed! I will post growth update pics in a week or so. =) I replaced standard warm light 60 watt standard bulbs |

I have the 300w bulbs in the daylight type(6500k) in my backyard,and yes they can be seen from space!!!!!! |
