I would like to create a list of commercial varieties and the locations where they are grown around the world. Please add any if you know they are grown at more than a couple farms.

California-
Black Mission, Conadria, Calimyrna, Panache

Baja California (Vizcaino, BCS area)-
Black Mission

It does.  There are fig farmers on FB.  One's in Colombia, SA and the other one I know about is in Malaysia.  You can ask them directly.

Other Commercial varieties I know grown in California are Brown Turkey, Sequioa and Sierra. We get
many commercially grown figs like Brown Turkeys & Blk Mission imports from CA.

I heard today that there are 3,000 acres of Sierra in CA but 0 in Sequoia (because of heavy politics).  There are some others also, though they are not in public domain and I don't know their names.

Here are two interesting links:
Production by volume: http://www.factfish.com/statistic/figs%2C%20production%20quantity
Commercial varieties: http://www.citrogold.co.za/Figs%20An%20Overview%20Citrogold%202011.pdf

Brazil's commercial variety is  "Roxo de Valinhos" (California Brown Turkey)
Japan's is "Masui Dauphin" (also thought to be CBT)
I believe South Africa is associated with "Adam" fig (aka French variety "Dauphine")

Good responses so far, but what about Europe? The rest of the Mediterranean?
