Is anyone growing these little red beauties from Calabria? I remember these from my Godparents when I was a child. If I remember these have a warm heat, not overpowering. Then there were the "just wave the peppers over the dish" hot peppers they used to grow also. Both from Calabria. |

I remember my father growing these. When they were still tender and green he would eat 1 or 2 with his tomato salad. Even a touch of them would burn my mouth but they didn't seem to bother him. |

Joe , my Dad used to eat them green as well. We used to bring them back from a visit to my Godparents . My parents never grew them , shame because maybe then the seeds would have stayed in our family. |

I'm a chile devotee, too. In relation to a jalapeno, how hot are the calabrian chiles? |
