My gardener planted a fig tree in my yard last year and didn't ever check what variety it was. I took some pictures of the tree and a ripe fruit, so those wiser than me can help out!
The outside gets green with purple stripes, and the inside has a color not unlike a honey fig. It has an "earthier" honey-like taste. I wish I had a better pic of the inside but it got eaten before I could take another one :)
Any ideas? (Oh, and ignore the enormous Panache next to it on the plate. I have been getting huge Panache this year).
Thanks!

Thanks for the guess, that does look like a good possibility. Yeah, my gardener is great. I tell him what I want and he plants it for me. However, when it came to figs I decided to have some more direct involvement. :) In that case I asked for another Panache (I have two) and he planted an unknown. I asked him the variety and he didn't know...since then I am rooting my own and picking trees out myself. I have way too many.
