I have grown up eating this fig. I was my Dads tree in queens NY. Never covered in the winter, just cut down every year, and produced tons of figs. I brought plates of figs and cuttings to Chris from Belclare nurseries in L.I N.Y. He could not ID it because he said it was similar to a few but the taste was unique. Here is some info has two crops when its hot.Has a closed eye, the taste is not to sweet and jam texture. Could be from Italy or Greece any help would be appreciated Thank you Paul
