I started with cuttings from several fig trees in my garden. I placed them in a vase of water mid September and change the water once a week. To date, they have not sprouted any roots.  Also, have some in zip lock bags covered in wet newspaper. Still no success!    Any suggestions........Thanks....

Hi: My name is Tony and live in Staten Island, NY.  I have 8 Fig Trees - Italian Whites, Black Mission, Peter Honeys and Brown Turkey.  I have made cuttings from these fig trees and placed them in water (vase) on 09/15/11.  They are sitting on my kitchen table near a window with sunlight.  I will keep you informed of my progress or short comings!!!!!

Regards,

Great - let me know when you want to swap cuttings!

I am bringing two potted figs inside my house.  Do I keep watering them all through the winter months or just let them go dormant?

Hi Ed:

The Fig Fest event was good, even though it was cold and wet!  I have a question for you?

What do you do in the winter with all your potted fig plants?

I'm a first time user in this forum!

I will be attending the Fig Fest tonight at 7:00pm with my better half.  I am bringing cuttings from seven of my fig trees - they are:

13 cuttings from my Black Mission Figs
13 cuttings from my Italian White Figs
13 cuttings from my Peter's Honey Figs  (++++The best++++)

I am also giving two (2) potted Black Mission Fig cuttings that were started early this summer........

See you all this tonight......
