F4F members don't hear of a tree( fresh newbies) and then it's the next hot thing because it's either unheard of or everyone else is talking about it. I remember when it was Sal's Corleone. Then it was Maltese Falcon. Last few weeks it has been RDB.
Now this insanity!
I'm telling you Right Now- Next hot one is going to be either Negretta, Valle Negra/ Valle Calda/ Nero 600, and Dall'osso.
Whoever paid 400+ is out of their f'n mind and don't know what they are doing.
I don't care how big a tree is, a cutting will get you a lot further, money and satisfaction wise.
Couldn't agree with you more, Nypd5229.

The funny part of it all, this fig has no history. Sure everyone wants the lastest. Could be when you finally get to taste this fig, it might end up being low on the list for taste.

Likewise, Luke. I feel with these prices, I won't be able to afford some of the nicer figs for my own family. I originally joined the forum thinking I agree with the spirit of Encanto Farms and its members. To share figs and fig stories with the goal of "wide distribution" within the fig loving community... But this indicates the contrary...
