Papa John
.
It is said:

Very suitable for fresh, taste pretty good.
Fruit appearance, taste is good.
.
Papa John's in the local performance is very good, cold resistance, fast growth, high yield, good fruit, beautiful appearance, taste good, it is worth playing a good variety.

Papa John dormant talent, had other fig leaf, Papa John has just began to sprout, as local coldest winter only minus 6-8 degrees, want to know the breed tolerance to cold, I hope more than 15 degrees below zero in the north of Papa John's to try to grow in cold areas, fall seedlings to a conditional gift two friends try to grow fruit, a pot, and the other a wild field planting.

xXX, why don't you post your own pictures with a  ruler behind, so we can tell how big they really are?  Chinese hands are small, so not a good comparison, I hav figs that don't fit in my large hands.

Grasa,I grew this Jin Ao Fen fig from this year only. but Jin Ao Fen is growing very fast, just come out several figs on it. but the weather is getting cold, I don`t think those green little figs can be ripe in this year . :(

So, figsters in the USA....has this fig reached our shores?
Is there an English name to identify this fig variety?
Is it possible to buy this variety in the USA, and, who retails this variety, commercially/privately?
Does it need a wasp?

I also would love to try growing some golden doorknobs.

Frank

EDIT:  I read that Shanghai has a climate that's similar to parts of Florida....so maybe this fig variety -whatever it is -  will do well here.

Thank you ! I understand .

In China,We call "the breba crop" is "Spring crop" ,because the fruit is coming out in Spring on the last-year old branches.
