I would do an airlayer at about 24". When it has good roots, cut it off. The lower part will branch out nicely. Good luck.

The water in my 5 gallon clone bucket is 19C (66.2F). I have a submersible pump in the bucket.
Is that too cool for roots to grow? Should I  add a heater? My cuttings are happy. They are growing leaves. The roots are just taking their sweet time. I am not in a hurry.

Hi Dennis,
Thank you.

My 5 gallon bucket has no heat at all. I started it with some confederate rose (Hibiscus Mutabilis) cuttings. They all have leaves and root initials, but no roots yet.

I need to start another cloner for fig cuttings.

How much Hydrogen Peroxide do you recommend? I started with a 5 gallon bucket.

I built my cloner in October. I have leaves and root initials but no roots yet.

Is there a "how to pinch" video on the forum? If not, maybe a diagram of how to do it.
I really want to try it soon.
Thanks,
Marion

Hi,
I recently moved to EHT, NJ from California. In CA I had 2 fig trees (a Black Mission and a Panache).

I drove from CA to NJ in Dec 2013 with cuttings of 5 varieties in my truck. Sadly, none of them survived.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jason this week and he was kind enough to give me a small LDA tree and cuttings of Kathleen Blk.

I need suggestions of varieties that will grow in NJ in containers.
