Hello,
I get an enracined cutting from Tunisia 1,5 years ago, and plant it in my garden here in France  , this the first year that it gets fruits at maturity, and i am surprised of the very goodbouhouli 1.jpeg  taste of these quite big  figs because of the less sunny weather in France than in Tunisia, the fruit are delicious.
i think thi fig tree is a good candidat for acclimation here;
Hey Francisco if you want cuttings from this variety i think it's Bouhouli variety..
Regards.

Hey Fransisco,
I know the variety "Bouhouli" as it is a protected labelled variety in Tunisia ,these figs are mostly producted in Beja and  known as "Djebba figs" ("Figues de Djebba" in French) in Tunsia wich is "bouhouli" variety origin in the north ouest of the country, unfortunatly i still not have it in culture but in the future i will get somes as the figs are commercialised in the stores as the Djebba figs 'appelation d'origine controlèe".
So I will certainly can get seeds from fruits next year or cuttings from a friend..
best wishes.

I think they are like Celeste variety , these are the best tasty figs that  i ever eat, truly honey inside and kilos of them on the floor and on the tree..

Phoenicians (from actual Syria and lebanon )
and after carthaginians (wich are phonicians installed in north Africa espacially in actual Tunisia) )
introduce the culture of fig trees and propagate it all around the mediteranean world during the antiquity .
Romans were affaid of the commercial power of this delicious fruit ( figs) in the ancient town of Carthage (  eternel rival of Rome in the antiquity period)..
