I got 2 cuttings from pads fan earlier this year, both were rather thick, both rooted very easily with 3 shoots coming from each. I can't wait to taste it when it's starts producing!

To answer a previous question, I believe the fig wasp is present in that area.

I've only rooted a couple of the thick cuttings, but for me they did great! In my limited experience, they seem much healthier and vigorous. They also seemed to break buds in multiple areas rather than just one new shoot.

Again this is in my LIMITED experience.

Isn't bark mulch pretty much inert of nutrients? Which is why people like it for starting cuttings? And also could be a reason you need to fertilize heavily when using bark mulch for mature trees?

Maybe use tree mulch (as some like to refer as "Back to Eden") for some better results and less fertilizing?

Being relatively new, this is more speculation based on research I've done outside of these forums.

Meg not to incriminate you, but... How can I ask this... Were her visit/phone calls justified? Or was it an unwarranted visit?

To be honest, his OP didn't seem offensive or childish, it wasn't until someone called it "disgusting" when he decided to take it a different direction. This is strictly opinion.

I really couldn't care less, I have no horse in the race. As far as I can tell, "trouble makers" are weeded out quickly on the 'forum of which we do not speak'.

I'm not here to quarrel, bicker, or play he said she said.

Please again note that I simply observed the hostility with posts on the side of the fence more.

^^exactly what I was talking about, thanks for proving my point.

I also qualified by saying I lurked both forums for a while.

FWIW (take with a grain of salt from a newbie), I find people on this forum to be much more hostile, yet I still come here for information.

On a side note, I have directed people over there to this forum when there was a thread that helped them more over here. Goes both ways y'all.

I lurked and joined both forums around the same time, I find both forums helpful. I don't think it's in bad taste to promote the other forum here, unless there are rules against it?

What's so wrong in being a part of both communities? From what I've seen so far they each have their unique benefits.

Not to mention, I see MANY identical threads posted in both forums to get feedback from both communities.
