I agree its a very good fig. I grow it in the greenhouse but despite overwatering the fruit is really fine and even drying on the tree.
And its quite hardy. Never lost a plant even in very cold winters.

Very interesting !
For me, the shapes and colours of  lobes and fruit are a mix of Noire de Caromb, Ronde de Bordeaux, and Sultane.
Great find, Dan!

Hi all,
From my experience Ronde de Bordeaux is a fast and strong grower from its nature, and makes a big tree.

Hmmmmm.

Today I got a message from him.
A few time ago he lost his PC and for this reason he "disappeared".

George K. is an honest person.
I talked to him by chat in english and greek and I was sent some varities from him,
without any consideration from my side.

Subject: Question? Is Vasilika Sika the Same as Dalmatie? Replies: 14

Herman2,
I find your observations very interesting, and also the reports from DNA test´s.
I hope that the mentioned cultivars are diffenert ones, so that we will have different excellent figs in our collections.
For me DNA test´s are not really the last statement of wisdom. Different varieties sometimes seem to be indentical.
Dalmatie´s fruit production seems to be less or not influenced by mosaic for me, not in the greenhouse, nore outside, both inground. Only young plants show mosaic.
The productivity of Dalmatie is already quite good in my opinion -  so I am very curious to compare all mentioned cultivars in near future.
thx

That looks very similar to Brunswick.
But after reading a lot posts concearning identical ID´s of varieties like Brunswick=Dorree, I come to the conclusion, that the field of DNA cannot really be explored yet.
They are very close but not identical. Not in the habitus of the tree nore in the fruit.
However they all perform bad if climate is not hot and dry. But when its the case, they are delicious.

I had doubts that Black Madeira would fruit for me in middle Europe.
As temperatures dropped in the last weeks very much, and it rains, I removed 3 unripe figs from this one. After cutting them through I had to realize that they where already red inside,
They were not so far from ripening. Next year with hopefully better weather.

That reminds me of my first fig in ground, first the fruit was stolen for all along the summer, then they digged up the plant, which was nearly 2m in height !!!
