1-258 should I air layer this branch?

This branch is somehow bigger than the tree itself! Can I leave it or would you seasoned figgers air layer it? I had to stake it cause it was causing tree to lean, and as I can see it's still pulling it!

yes do it won't hurt a thing and you get a new tree.
