Adriatic JH and Adriatic fig cuttings

I am newby with fig4fun forum. I would like to collect some fig cuttings if someone have some to sale?

Adriatic JH and Adriatic.  what is difference between them? I do like the flesh with dark deep red color. Also the one bright red color. Let me know. Thanks
Linda

The Adriatic JH is likely not the same as Adriatic, but it is up for debate until DNA testing gets done. Both are very good figs.

Adriatic JH is a great tasting fig but ripens late in cool zones if you are growing in ground.

Does dna analysis of two closely related trees
But have different traits test as same tree ?

Yes...two different trees can test the same...best example would be Vista and VDB.

AFAIK John Hood's Adriatic is Not th a same as regular Adriatic...most say it is better, and handles FMV better as well.

Thanks for all your information about the figs. I have a lot to learn from all of you. I live in Alabama Zone 7. Its very hot and humid in summer. We also have cold weather and snow but only last over night and all melted by morning. Any suggestions what is the best kind of Fig to grow in zone 7?. I would like to have and try some other rare figs hard to find than just regular kind of figs. I love dark skin figs with dark red pups inside, don't care much for light skin figs. Please advice and let me know where to buy these cuttings?
Thanks

Can I throw in another?  Is "White" Adriatic another name for Adriatic or JH Adriatic?

Received some very nice JH Adriatic cuttings from Mountain Figs. All rooted and are growing strong, very pleased.

Hardy Chicago, Raspberry Latte, Valle Negra, Petite Negri, VdB.  I'm not that big a fan of the green figs either but Vasilika Sika (VS) is a great green fig with red interior.

I just have first and second year trees, but for green figs Adriatic JH, Strawberry Verte, Battaglia, and Bourjassotte Grise all taste a lot alike to me, sweet and fruity with a touch of acid. I need to eat them more often before the differences stand out for me.
