Have heard of this and it looks like an interesting set up but I've never tried it.
There is a local guy that uses a similar system and claims success. I'll send him a note maybe he can let us know how he does it.
My guess;
It may increase somewhat the success rate of the #of cuttings that initially root rather than rot since should have lots of air movement through the water.
Remains to be seen how successful the resulting potting of the rooted fig plant would be since water roots are said to be different than soil roots? It may mean pot them up as soon as the root initials are formed.
