Another Kill

My frenchie took this kill into the patio room. I believe he was the one that put the finishing touch like the last kill I witnessed. Other 2 big dogs -- Rhodesian Ridgeback & Black Lab likely took it down from one of the lower fig branches & the French bulldog finished it off as he can run around the potted fig trees. The big dogs are not able to get around as fast. This is the 3rd squirrel killed this year. For their reward I gave them scrambled eggs.

That's awesome, Paully. I only wish my French bulldog could pull off such a feat. I give my frenchie scrambled eggs every morning. He is useless, but pretty cute. Maybe I need a few bigger dogs to get the job done as I've had some squirrel damage as of late. I should ask my wife if I can have a lab.

I hate tree rats.... unless they are braised in onions and wine sauce till tender... Good to reward the pups for their good behavior!  Bill... Labs are a great choice! They are so smart and loyal and I think that of all the dogs I have been exposed to, the Labs have the greatest capacity for empathy... I love GSP's to death but the Labs have really impressed me with their almost human intelligence (in many cases superior to human intelligence) and capacity to build a link between them and their caregivers or with those that they provide service to...

Is he available for rent? I have more squirrels than I can handle.

I had read good things about the Kania trap and suggested it once to someone in Florida.  A year later she reported that she had caught "hundreds" of squirrels.  She had been quiet about her activities and said that neighbors suspected some disease must have been killing off the cute squirrel population. ;)  Fortunately, I only have a minor problem with some ground squirrels here.
