Wanted to update this thread with pictures since this variety did so good for us.  Very early variety and 2 nice crops.  Gave us first ripe fig of the season (Breba... had to share with the birds) on 06.30.16.  That's a winner in NYC! Main crop was finished by the second week of August.  We've made it a permanent part of our collection.  If anyone else has pictures of this variety please post.  Would love to see how this one is doing in different parts of the country.  Enjoy the pics.

I took just a few pics of my JUBI - it is one of my best as well. Here in southwest PA it started ripening 8/23 (about 2 weeks after my RdB), a second year plant in a 5g SIP.  Excellent flavor, especially if you let them get a little shriveled like the pic I am posting below.  Fairly productive, growth was only average.  I had no brebas but it is a young plant.  It is a variety with pinkish leaf stems, as seen in some of nycfig's pic above. Maybe the above photos are in different light but my interiors seemed a little darker red color

My pics did not seem to post right-linking to a thread on the other fig forum where I posted my JUBI pics to compare with Negretta. Sorry but I can't share em otherwise:

To me... this is the same thing as Negretta. Does anyone have them both to compare taste?

In my opinion,Jason unknown Black is not Ischia Black, but:
It is Negretta.
This is my conclusion i came at after i checked all information and pixies of Negretta.
It matches to a T.
Best Regards
