Anyone heard of this fig?

Barjacota Barjacota.jpeg

Looks like regular old brown turkey.

Just what I was thinking.

Brown turkey is lot more brown and shaped like a pear. At least the one that grows in the south.

Looks exactly like the last Brown Turkey I had in my yard... color and shape match perfectly.... wait... was someone in my yard taking pictures of my figs?   :-)

Do you have a pic of some whole leaves?

I have no pictures of the leaves.

Another renamed BT

In my books, it is a BT

For as little as I know about figs I thought the same thing when I saw it.

It's a picture from wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficus

The same picture is also on many other websites.

Yes, I'll give this one a miss.

This is a picture of the leaf. Barjacota (2).JPG

When i was in a local garden center some weeks back, they were selling labeled commodity Brown Turkey figs... I thought it strange that almost every plant had multiple stems in each pot with each having one of 2 distinct leaf patterns. One set was what I would expect on a BT... The other set looked to me exactly like the picture you just posted. At the time, I thought that the growers had carelessly mixed several plant stems into their pots with a mix of BT and VDB stems... Perhaps, what in fact was going on was that the labelled BT was throwing two distinct leaf patterns with the one I thought might look like a VDB in fact being the alternate BT leaf.... The fruit certainly looks like what comes off my BT so perhaps those leaves are the alternate leaf pattern that may evolve into the traditional BT leaf pattern as the plant matures...

Here are other pictures of other varieties. I wonder if these are accurate, too?   Bebera branca

The Bebera Preta leaf looks very much like my Abebereira leaves... Cotio I don't have...

Ok, thank you for your input.
