What's the (A), Leon?

Ross, it is the initial of the forum member who gifted it to me. I will edit the topic so that it does not confuse the viewers. Thanks for pointing it out.

very nice looking fig Leon .................

Thank you Dave. I am impressed by the productivity, the size, and the rich flavor of this fig. It also has a small eye.

Very nice!

Beautiful! Leon... with all these great looking and flavorful figs in the orchard, I hope you have put up a few hams to cure into prosciutto as well as a wheel or three of a a good parmigiano reggiano.... If you haven't then start now and with a 12 to 18 month cure time for the hams, you will be all set for next seasons harvest.... Those would be some awesome tasting parties.... I'll bring the red wine!

Leon, Great looking figs.
Phil

Very nice looking figs!
Are you growing them in containers or in ground?

These are in containers for now.

Very nice looking fig Leon.

Looking good, Leon. Glad to see it's growing good for you.
I got my first ripe Barnisotte July 20th and then a raccoon got about 20 ripe figs and broke off about a 7 or 8 ft branch from my tree that was loaded with figs.

Vito,
If you want cuttings this fall, just let me know.

Thank you Art, I'll take you up on it.
How's your summer going? Hope to see you in Staten Island in September.

Sounds good, Vito. Are you still at the same address?

Almost daily I get figs like this from my Barnisotte.

They look great. Love the slight cracking on the skin.

Yes, still the same.

This is one that was gifted to me few years back. Looks similar at least.

Hi Richie:
Thanks for posting your Barnisotte photos. It does look similar except your fig looks pretty solid. Do you have the wasp in your area? Art shared his Barnisotte with me so my photos and his photos are of the same tree source.

No wasp but rain really messed this fig up. In edible. One side of the outside wasn't fully black. Soured up and nasty. First fig off very small tree. Thanks for your response. I think I got it from Igor. Don't remember. Was gifted to me when I first joined here. Didn't keep recording of source

Thanks Richie.

Is this Barnisotte different from R.Watts variant ? I have the Watts variant for 10 yrs or more.
