To my fellow Floridians, South Georgians, South Carolinians, etc etc who are in Hermine's path -- good luck with our rain-maker (we are 13" short of rain this year in N. Florida so it won't be totally worthless for us) -- hope y'all weather the storm safely and that your figgies and critters ride her out safely (my hens are NOT pleased to be confined to quarters instead of cleaning out the last of my fig trees' brebas). 

And if you are so inclined, I'll see you in the lineup on Sunday 'cause the waves are going to be gooooooooood , I hope, in the aftermath of the storm.

Seriously, good luck and God bless and for our friends in Louisiana and Texas, Im glad its our turn and that y'all get some more time to dry out... Lord knows y'all have suffered enough.

Yes we could use the rain...not so much the wind. :) Does not look like a direct hit where I am but still watching the radar.

West Florida (West of the Apalachiola River as defined by the proclamation of 1763). zone 8a winters can get cold for figs...down to 12 F twice in last four years.
