Hi everyone! Wow what a year it has been!  Hopefully I will have time to contribute.  My tree started to break its buds and needed to be pruned ASAP!

Here is what I have done!

I know I should have pruned more but I got stumped on what and where.  Besides I can always take more off - I can't put the branches I removed back on.....that easily.

Anyone care to estimate how long I have had it?

I have seen trees that large after 2 yrs, and others that will never get that large, even if the life to 100. It's all in the genes.

It's 5 years old.

I have had it for 5 years.  Purchased in a nursery, about 3 1/2' tall trunk diameter about an
inch.  This is the tree March 2012.
