Beyaz Orak

I got this Fig from Turkey couple of years ago. THE BEST tasting honey type Fig I've ever had.

P.S. This is non pollinated.

Thanks IMG_8590.JPG  IMG_8591.JPG  IMG_8592.JPG

Vinny,
The word that immediately comes to mind is "WOW"
That's some fig and I thought my white marseilles was a good honey fig.
I am envious, your fig is a real honey, congrats.

Dear Francesco and Elruge,

Thank you and this variety really surprised me as most of my Turkish ones didn't ripen in our weather, some needs pollination. This one ripened to perfection with an intense honey flavour. It wasn't watery at all considering the amount of rain we had and did not split. Ercan told me this is the reason why it's a commercial variety in Turkey as it holds its shape well.

Beyaz orak is really unique variety with taste and sweetness. As I saw it was adapted UK climate very well and it resist spliting heavy rains. You will more figs from it with your children after plant it ground. Thanks for sharing this speacial variety.

I like the dark green skin yet with beautiful ripe pulp!
Is this a main crop fig?
