Black Greek (Marius)

I really love this Fig and it's extremely delicious, in my opinion. From what I understand it's hardy as far as cold weather is concerned . I really don't know myself because our last Winter was unseasonably warm. This Fig Tree grows very well and tends to have a lot of Figs. This tree this year is loaded with Figs.Got my cuttings from Marius!.... Good Luck to everyone! : )

Always amazing ,thankyou!

Good pic Frank.

I planted one in ground this year in zone 5. We'll see what next spring brings.

Frank Congratulations thats a great looking fig Enjoy it my friend

I really love this fig too.  To me it is one of those figs that is technically not a Mt. Etna but behaves a lot like one.  It's tasty and very productive and we will see how it does this winter in-ground.

Steve,
I'm really interested in how well your tree does over winter as I was given what I was told by someone I trust that the BG he sent me was a great replacement for the BG I had I was complaining about. I can only have so many 15g pots with figs in them and have decided to put a bunch in ground come spring.
thx.

Michael, if I don't post about it next Spring please ask.  I will have a lot of in-ground fig cold-hardiness data points next Spring.

Steve,
Any way I can get a list of what you have in ground?
Your new place is zone 7A - isn't it?

Nice looking fig!  The photo lets you almost taste it!

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments! : )

Hi Frank.
