Black Madeira Leaves Curling, why?

I have a black madeira plant I started this fall and it's in a 2 gallon pot, over the last week the leaves are all curling.  Is it too much fertilizer, too small a pot? any ideas appreciated.  thanks!

Classic sign of water deficit...   often the media will dry to the point that it becomes hydrophobic...  the water will wet the surface and trail along the outer perimeter along the sides of the pot, yet the inner area of the media remains dry.  Often just a dribble of dish-soap in the water will break the surface tension and allow the media to re-hydrate.

My Maltese beauty is doing the same thing. Thanks.

Your tree looks fine . Some of my Bm's leaves were burned when I missed watering.

Kkk2210 - are you saying curly leaves are normal for BM? Thanks

No, I meant your trees looks much better than my crisped up leaves. Just feed them and water thoroughly and they should be fine.
