Saw these Brown Turkey Figs in whole foods today. Its December 18th and I'm in Massachusetts! Anyways, I would give them a solid 7.5 or 8 on taste; figgy flavor and nice and juicy. I couldn't believe how ripe they were. They were oozing honey in the box. I wouldn't have known commercially sold fresh figs to be so ripe. I've gotten very nice fresh figs at Whole Foods, Shoprite, and a local latino/asian market -- but not in December! WF here gets some really good figs in season, but I only buy them loose by the pound so I can pick and choose the best. I have never seen a clamshell package with figs that look like that. Good find! Hmmm...can't make out the fine print on the packaging. It say Produced by "somebody" for Gless Ranch, Coachella CA. It says "product of USA", which in this case invariably means southern or central California. What a wonderful place.
