Today I found this fig tree right at the Eastern entrance to Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa CA. There is another different fig tree 100 yards further up from the entrance drive, which I am certain were (bird drops) as are other volunteer fruit tree's that are watered along with the grass. I'm going back in two weeks to check on the fruit but the one I'm most interested in is the tree and leaf pictured below (which my wife picked off as she was impressed with the size). Any idea's/hints?http://s1343.photobucket.com/user/Noel_Goetz/media/crafton%20unk%205_zpsqck3qpdw.jpg.htmlhttp://s1343.photobucket.com/user/Noel_Goetz/media/crafton%20unk%204_zpsfpgbhbds.jpg.html
Not sure but interested to see the fruit! I call my figs "ladies", saw your meme on photo bucket.
I'll post on the fruit in a couple of weeks as I think that's what it will take to ripen. The leaves do look mission type, but they look much larger and different than the black mission I have in my garden. BTW Devlgro I call mine ladies too LOL.
