Very nice Pete!

Thanks Rafael, it was a pleasure meeting you at the SI figfest

How did they hold up with this horrible weather we've been having, Pete?

good job they look great

I can't get over that colour.

Ross it held up very good no splitting, no mold and still tasted fabulous unlike some of the others I have.

I am not so smart, Is it Col De Dame Blanc?

It looks great, CDD type fig trees grow very well in our cool summer area here, I hope that I can find this one someday.

Yes, it's Col de dame Blanc from Baud, vigorous grower over 10ft tall

Pete these col de dame trees really look like super fast growing fig trees. How long, ago was it planted ? Looks just like my col de dame grise other then the color. Does yours grow double figs ( 2 in one spot ? Thanks for all the pics. Takes,a little time to get them on here.

The caliper on your trees is very impressive, Pete!  Can you share what you use for potting mix and your fertilization regimen with us?

Hi Pete:

Boy they are very, very nice CDDB's. You are so lucky to get these in the midst of all this relentless mist and rain.

How do you move 55 Gal SIP's. Forklift?

Very nice, Pete, so what are you feeding your tree and what soil mixture are you using?

Hi Pete.
Great looking fig. Sorry I missed you at the Staten Island fig fest, I would have liked to have met you in person, didn't know you were there. Next time!
Vito

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

Richie I haven't noticed any doubles on mine, it's a 2 yr old tree.

This is what I've been feeding and using for potting mix - 4 part agway pinebark mulch 2 part peat moss 1 part perlite 1 part compost, lime ,couple of handfuls of osmocote plus and the gross part; lots of buried seafood waste i.e. Fish juice, fish head, bones, guts, crab shells, shrimp shells, clam and mussel shells.just about anything from the sea, make sure to bury it deep ;)

Brett when you emptied the reservoir and let the mix dried up a little it's not that heavy at all. You could easily move it with a regular handtruck but I have a 600lb one made for moving drums just in case.

Vito my friend definitely next year!
