CdDG has rooted! And the panache!

I'm so stoked right now! 80% of all my CdDG cuttings have rooted! My first attempt at this has been successful, but I hear the hard part is the transplant! Any info would be great!

Looks like those little peat cells work pretty good!

I usually go into a 4"x4" pot first and keep them under the same lights. That way the only thing that changes is how far the roots can grow. After a month to a month and a half of being in the 4"x4" pot I usually go from the 4x4 to a 1 gallon trade pot (because they're cheap). I know people that go straight to a "tree starter" pot However, they are way more expensive. Then gradually work them into sun light by starting them in a shady spot that gets morning sun. If you go straight to full sun you will burn the leaves. Let me know if you have any extra. I would love to have one

I've used the root riot cubes successfully but the tricky part is getting them to survive the up-pot step.  I went directly into a 1 gallon using a well draining mix but 4x4 might make sense too.  The key is to not overwater as the cube will likely hold more water than the surrounding mix.  After 3-4 weeks if they still look good (and roots presumably are invading the surrounding soil) you can be more liberal about watering.

I have already moved them into 1 gallons and they seem to be perfect still, it's been 3 days I have them covered with upside down water bottles and I'm adding about 4 holes a day to bottles for humidity transfer! I absolutely love doing this so much fun!

It's truly an addiction. I'm up to 14 different types of figs and still collecting
