My tree only produced a few figs and they are pretty small, but vey large in taste. An excellent fig indeed!

Nice small figs!
In a good deal of esamples, small figs are the very best

Barry, are you growing the plant in a pot or in the ground?

Bob This was grown in a pot, don't think it is hardy enough for inground in my zone. This is truly a good fig Rafed, regardless of color, too bad some people don't know what they are missing

I have a small one of this variety in a pot that has some fruits on it. Considering the mother plant (not vigorous), the yearling cutting from it is surprisingly healthy - so I think they will mature. I'm looking forward to trying them. :)

Tam, I stink at taste descriptions, to me it was very sweet, had a rich flavor, maybe a bit of berry and a bit chewy texture. Sorry I'm not more descriptive

Yes the skin was somewhat chewy. It seems to take a while to ripen, a bit longer than most too

Thanks. I hope so.

I just went out and checked. I have 5 fruits on a small tree that's almost 2 feet tall in a true 5 gallon pot. Nice healthy leaves too. As the days get shorter I'll make sure it remains in absolutely full sun. I definitely lean towards the dark side, but this is one I really want to try.

The more I grow figs and get to taste really good ones, the more I like them. :) :)  It's not just win-win, it's yum-yum.

My only ripe fig on my first year tree was amazing. Almost like strawberry jam with a honey aftertaste. No crunchy seeds. It is the best tasting fig that I've had this summer. It's a keeper.
