I am going to do a trial run of offering some cuttings for what I think is a reasonable cost for about a week. If things go well, I will extend the time..
Most are not cutting edge varieties but for some of the newbies it might be a cost effective means of stocking up on some standard fig types.
Please do a forum search for the varieties that are not familiar to you before asking about them as this would cut down on repetition.

Details here.

Update:
Done.
Thanks everyone.

I can see that I am going to be swamped! Less than an hour into the offer and lots of requests. Good.

Please communicate through the email address provided. Send me an itemized list of what you want. I will get back to you with availability and further details.
Please be patient. The $6 cuttings are almost gone.
I will try and make the cuttings at least 6 inches long with at least 3 nodes.

(James, it is an honor to be on your wife's hit list...hopefully she will not sick the FDLE on me. :)))

Good deal Frank, members should be grabbing these up soon. I would be getting some from you but I already have them and they originally came from you. If you members want some nice healthy cuttings from Frank then get those orders in before they are completely sold out.

Hi guys and gals. That's a nice response!
Please bear with me while i go through all the emails. It's nasty out there, weather-wise and I have a job, but I should be able to get them out over this coming week-end.
Tomorrow morning, depending on how many more emails i receive, I may put a temporary pause on the offer until I catch up.

James, my avatar is a picture of the best tasting, best looking fig my palate and my eyes had the pleasure of meeting, Ponte Tresa. No cuttings yet, unfortunately.

Thanks for the info, that's a truly beautiful fig.  The colors remind me of tropical guava.

Spent all day collecting the booty and all night packing. Phew!! Glad it's over.
I ran out of a couple of varieties but was able to accommodate all requests.

Thanks everyone, we'll do it again again next year.

Re: Socks with sandals. I chided my wife for this the other day and she told me it was vogue. It reminds me too much of orange overalls and shackles to look fashionable to me.

I am going to calendar to watch out for this deal next year this time, Frank. I really like your list.

Frank, I haven't forgotten about your tree. The one air layer set but it did't take off like others did and it died. I haven't forgot. I'll set you another one and send it in late Spring or sooner if I get one to root in my propagator.

Dennis, no worries. JD bequeathed a large Smith to me over the summer, so I'm good. I was just wondering if the CaBT produced yet. Mine is about 5 feet tall but no fruit yet. Can't wait.

Dale, let me know if there is something specific you were looking for from the list. It is never too late, although if I have to look at one more cutting today, I think I'll throw up.

Whew, thanks Frank! Mine hasn't fruit yet but my Improved Brown Turkey did again. You mentioned getting a Smith from JD. Man, I have several Smith trees. They are my unspoken favorite. I've been collecting them!

There is nothing wrong with rock'n the socks and sandals. It's the perfect foot wear for the transitional seasons.

Preach it Cal! I get teased pretty bad by my friends and family, it's all good though lol, but there's no doubt they're comfortable and convenient

and it reminds me of pre-game when I played high school football *walking off the bus, helmet and pads in hand, sandals off - cleats on, it's game time* ...so they're nostalgic too...

The good news is, Frank, that the more you do it the less work it is.  The first year I sent out over 150 boxes, then less than 100 and this year less than 50.  The market is getting saturated.   :)

Dennis, what color is the inside of your Smith figs?  I got one from JR and the inside is amber but someone recently posted one with a red inside.

I got my cuttings today Frank, thanks! Didn't have too much time to look at them, I opened them just enough to see they were wrapped in plastic then closed it back up and put them in the fridge. I'll deal with them next week.

Bob,
You definitely want to scrutinize your supposed Smith from JR.

Bob, mine are red inside. I must has 4 or 5 Smith trees. They're ugly but to me, they taste like Black Maderia.

Hi Angela, welcome to the forum. Please start a new thread and introduce yourself for a grand welcome from our members. You will be surprised at all the help that you will receive. Also, Charlie, the great fig experimenter lives in AR, a good figster to get to know. Good luck and good growing.

Thanks Frank. This is always my time to recharge, heal (when necessary), rake leaves, make compost, and plant leafy green vegetables as the fig leaves fall and fruit trees go dormant. So not much posting but reading threads that I have missed.
