Cuttings for Postage - - All gone!

Danny,

Thanks for the cuttings!  I'm starting to have roots develop on mine.  I'm excited just for the leaves of this fig, It will be certainly a beaut.

Any chance you found out where in Italy this tree came from?

Thanks again,

Phil

Wow!  Congrats on the roots already.

If I run into the cousin again I'll ask if she know where in Italy the tree is from.

Any updates on the mother tree (where its from, suspected varitiey or picture of fruit)? My cuttings are rooting nicely, very vigorous grower :). How are other people cutting fairing? I love heirloom varieties and i am very excited to see how this one turns out.

No updates on variety or what part of Italy the tree is from.  I walked by today and checked the branches.  They are soft and the buds look like they're swelling.

I'm getting good reports from everyone on this variety.  It definitely wants to live!

I'll post some pics after I prune the dead stuff off in a few weeks.

Yes, please post pictures.  Looking forward to them.  Thanks

nycfig, I would be interested in a couple of cuttings if you have any laying around...lol. Heirlooms are also of great interest to me. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone!  Went back the other day to prune more dead stuff and see about a breba crop.  Found the tree dead.  Someone had sprayed 'ground clear' to kill the weeds and it killed everything.  There is one live 10" shoot in the middle of the tangled mess of black dead shoots and roots.  Stood there looking at it for a while.  Very sad.  :(  If you are currently growing this heirloom I'd like to see some pics of it.  If anyone has an extra one growing I'd like to purchase it as I accidentally froze my own cuttings and they are no longer viable.

Hi Danny sorry I'm a newbie with cuttings and I smothered them with too much affection that they rotted... hopefully someone has an extra to give back to you

I want to say sorry as well.  I lost mine, after they began showing plenty of signs of roots and growth.  I didn't have have the right lighting and space for the cuttings, and where I put them they didn't take.  Anyone have good results with this these cuttings?

Hi Danny,
Here are my beauties, my Danny's Sandy.  Whats mine is yours.
