Enormous Yellow Figs

Any updates on this fig?

Since the tree is grown only for the look of its fruit and the fruit is almost tasteless, why not buy a bunch of plastic yellow pears and hang them from a fig tree near the street where people passing by can look at them and marvel? Decorating trees doesn't have to be limited to Christmas.

These ones are native to Western Asia and some parts of the Mediterranean.

my Lemon fig tree puts out 178 gram figs.

How do you know it's tasteless? Have you grown this tree?

If you click the link and read it tells you the person who wrote about it thought it did not have much flavor.

Right, I saw that.  But if you continue reading they also said they thought it was the breba and that the store owner said the main crop tasted pretty good.  But if the fig is truly the size of a pear I would be interested in it just for ornamental purposes.  Besides all of that, just because the fig does not taste great in one area grown somewhere else it can be very different.  Its worth exploring!
