Favorite fig of 2017?

Figherder,  I too harvested a few Red Lebanese (Bekaa) today, along with Unk Pastillier and Raspberry Latte...  after two months of temps here north of 100*.   All three were 'knock your socks off, good'!   I could not begin to choose one as being better than another.  These are the stand-outs this year, so far as taste goes...  from among dozens of ripe figs.  (I still have 200 or so varieties to sample out of the orchard...  I hate it when these things happen ;-)

There needs to be opposition in all things...  and, fig-wise,  these stellar figs were countered by some figs that caused me to immediately spit the things out...   can you say Texas Blue Giant?

Over 200 to go? Nice.. I swear I am stopping at 150. That leaves me room for 35 more. :).

Its good to get bad ones sometimes too. Makes it easier to get rid of one and make room for another.

I am very excited about my many unknown figs(two of them are trees of joy), my Peter's honey, Celeste, and the miguelenos fig from trees of joy as well
