It would be fine. Healthy and robust Caprifigs are ideal root stocks for any other edible Ficus Carica to be grafted on There are a number of grafting and budding methods/techniques and a proper timing to do them. For instance a very good guide for a start and without any language constraints is this same forum if you search for grafting and/or budding.
