Leaf shapes will definitely help.
Is this a San Pedro cultivar ?

Rule out brown turkey and Celeste for sure. I love when people post ID help. Sometimes we figure it out. Good luck. 👍🏻

Thanks Figpig66 . i appreciate the feedback! i would love to know what it is.

For a while thought there were a few similarities with Lampeira Preta but leaf shapes shown and the light fig eye colors of main crop definitely invalidate such assumption.

Lampeira is a San Pedro type with mostly lobe less leaves.. and a few three lobe
Main crop figs when ripe following a successful pollination are rather dark brownish  and have red eyes
Fruit peduncle on Lampeira's brebas seldom or never  separates from branch.

As a side note, seen that the average climate of Redding is the perfect match for this Lampeira variety

With your permission..

Lampo....i saw and older thread with the Lampeira Preta  and thought the same exact thing! Thanks for sharing this  The eyes are red on the figs i picked and the flesh looks more like this when further ripe.

Another option for your fig could be  ... 'Zingarello' with brebas  displaying a very light colored pulp, sort of 'straw'  and apparently similar  leaf shapes/contours
May be somebody growing this Zingarello chimes in to comment
Would love to see what its main crop shows in a month or two.

Francisco

on old wood... found another gem ripe enough to eat.. probably could have been riper but had to save from birds and ants.

taste is delicious honey nut. Any other ideas on what it might be?
