Figs and Honey sounds like a good combination

How about that.  Funny that they swarmed on the fig tree since figs have no need for bees.  I'm trying for the 4th time at keeping bees this year. I have always lost mine to robbing from neighboring hives.  The mites, beetles, ants, and moths don't help either.

That's great! And convenient. The last swarm I collected was 20 feet up, 10 feet out. Pain in the arse.

I split a strong hive today and the girls were PO'd. Stung twice up the nose, three times in the ear, once on the lip, then another 20 times for good measure. Not a fun day.
